From Monday 14th November 2011 Hathway Internet Service Provider, Pune, India has started new security feature in which all the subscribers has to enter Login ID and Password for accessing the Internet. I personally find it annoying as I am using internet 24X7 and have Wi Fi setup at my home. Some of the problem I have faced from last 2 days are below, I hope its of use for any one using Hathway ISP
1. First thing the default login and password is your hathway email and password "hathway123". Got SMS from hathway but they forgot to mention where to put this details. The details has to be entered at http://login.hathway.com
2. Once you login they will ask you to change your password.
3. Make sure you logout every time when you are done. Strange because I normally keep my Internet on for 24X7 and never log out.
But this creates problem when you do not logout. If you do not logout and try to access the Internet the next morning it will give you problem. Hope hathway will take care of this.
The only solution in this case is that you will have to call "Call Center" and they will reset the connection.
I have spent 30 min this morning and they keep saying all the operators are busy!!
There IVR is of 80's very bad quality and I hate calling the call center.

I am still facing the same problem, the login session ends without any warning when I was on skype call. Its embarrassing some times to explain clients from USA/UK that its normal here in India.
Called Hathway 4 times from the morning, average waiting time on IVR is about 8min which is the worst part. I normally connect my mobile phone to charger when calling Hathway as it might take lot of time them to attain my call and my mobile battery will get exhausted.
The only instruction i have got from the guy at the other end of the phone was, start your PC, start your Modem and try after 15min !!
Every time what they do is reset the ip address, that's it.
When I have asked them what they are doing about session problem I am facing. They said there is no solution for the same. After repeatedly insisting they took my complain and was reluctant to give me complaint number but did not committed any timeline for solving my problem. What kind of service is this!!!
I am sure no one will follow up with this complaint, even if the problem is solved, I am sure no one will give me a courtesy call saying that "Your problem is solved"
Anyways its about 12min I am on IVR and still no answer. I am pissed off.
I guess I will have to switch to some other ISP!!
